Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to support our semiconductor wafer fab in Palm Bay, Florida. This role involves preventative and corrective maintenance of electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment in a Class 1 cleanroom.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills. The position is 100% onsite with compressed work weeks (3 days, 7am–7pm one week; 4 days the next) and both day and night shifts

Qualifications

• 3+ years maintaining equipment in Wafer Fab functional areas such as Diffusion/LPCVD, EPI, Etch, or Thin Films.
• Strong foundation of mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
• Strong foundation of electronic skills.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Experience in installation, operation, repair and maintenance of electromechanical equipment.
• Ability to diagnose, test, and repair equipment using electrical repair procedures.
• Excellent oral communication skills and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment in a Class 1 cleanroom.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues.
• Install, operate, repair, and maintain electromechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and test equipment using electrical repair procedures.
• Communicate findings clearly to team members.
