Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and maintain web application firewalls, protecting client applications and data. You will monitor security events, analyze incidents, and implement automated security measures across Cloudflare and Imperva implementations using Terraform.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and support audits while staying current with threats and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in web application security operations with focus on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
• Strong understanding of web application protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to secure web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and remediation of security incidents.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments in line with standards.
• Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies.
