Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and monitor web application firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security for client apps. You will support change requests, assist with incident resolution, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture.

You will work with WAFs like Cloudflare and Imperva, and leverage Terraform for IaC automation, contributing to audits and security improvements in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 1–2 years in web app security operations with WAF focus.
• Hands-on with WAFs such as Cloudflare and Imperva.
• Terraform for infrastructure automation preferred.
• Strong understanding of web app security principles and protocols.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing for incidents.
• Certs like CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize WAF solutions to secure web apps.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage for web application firewalls.
• Monitor traffic and security events to identify threats.
• Analyze security incidents, perform root cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments.
• Stay current with threats and security technologies to boost security posture.
• Use Cloudflare, Imperva, and other WAFs; leverage Terraform IaC for deployment.
