Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage Web Application Firewall solutions, protecting client applications from cyber threats. You will configure, monitor, and optimize WAFs, collaborate with incident response teams, and automate security measures using Terraform, Cloudflare, and Imperva.

In this hybrid environment, you’ll mentor junior engineers, support security audits, and stay current with emerging threats to strengthen EY’s security posture across client

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in web application security operations, focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
• Certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to secure web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and remediation of security incidents.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to address security incidents promptly.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments; stay updated on threats.
