Job summary

RES is seeking a VP, Transmission & Distribution to own the P&L for the T&D business unit, driving profitable growth and client relationships across the U.S. This leader will oversee construction projects from transmission to substations, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires direct reports in Pre-Construction, Estimating, and Project Directors, with regular travel and a strong focus on strategic growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s in business preferred.
• Experience leading T&D or energy infrastructure construction teams.
• Proven ability to manage P&L and develop three-year business plans.
• Strong client-facing skills with track record in contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated leadership across multidisciplinary teams and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Owns full P&L accountability for the T&D unit and leads related departments.
• Develops a three-year plan including HSQE, revenue, and profit targets.
• Oversees safety, schedule, budget, and quality across projects.
• Leads business development, contract negotiations, and client relationships.
• Drives workforce planning, staffing, and succession for leadership roles.
• Travels to client sites, negotiations, and project visits as required.
• Represents RES as primary client-facing executive for T&D.
• Ensures project execution aligns with strategic goals and financial targets.
