Job summary

AppFolio Inc. seeks a Vice President, Total Rewards to drive the evolution of our Total Rewards strategy, aligning compensation, equity, benefits and career frameworks with business goals and talent strategy. You will lead strategic decision-making, modeling, and governance for executive compensation and Board interactions.

The role partners with the Chief People Officer and executive leadership to turn complex data into clear actions, build trust, and guide our Total Rewards operations at scale.

Qualifications

• Total Rewards expertise including compensation, equity, benefits, and governance.
• Forward-looking strategy to anticipate market and business shifts.
• Experience with Compensation Committee and Board collaborations.
• Deep understanding of compensation economics and job architecture.
• Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Experience driving organizational change and transitions.
• Analytical, structured leadership with controls and processes.
• Advocate of AppFolio culture and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Evolve Total Rewards for theFuture of Work across compensation, equity, benefits, and career frameworks.
• Partner on executive compensation strategy and governance with Board involvement.
• Shape multi-year benefits strategy and funding approaches.
• Lead pay equity analyses and ensure governance across programs.
• Empower leaders with tools to make informed pay decisions.
• Build and develop a high-performing Total Rewards team.
• Collaborate across Finance, Legal, and People Ops to align with 3YP and talent strategy.
