Job summary

AppFolio is seeking a Vice President, Total Rewards to lead and evolve our compensation, benefits, and equity programs. You will partner with executive leadership to align Total Rewards with business strategy, plan for the future of work, and ensure governance with the Compensation Committee.

You will guide the development of a high-performing Total Rewards team, design data-driven programs, and empower leaders to make informed pay decisions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience.
• 5+ years owning both Compensation and Benefits at senior leadership level.
• Experience in a public company with direct Compensation Committee and Board engagement.
• Strong analytical foundation with ability to distill data into executive recommendations.
• Excellent executive presence and communication, with ability to influence across functions.

Responsibilities

• Evolve Total Rewards strategy to align with the Future of Work and market changes.
• Partner on executive compensation strategy and Board governance.
• Shape multi-year benefits strategy and funding.
• Lead pay equity analyses and strengthen governance across Total Rewards programs.
• Enable leaders with tools to make sound pay decisions and communicate clearly.
