Dark Alpha Capital LLC is seeking a Technical Project Manager (VP level) to lead firm-wide technology initiatives, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and the Technology Department. You will translate business needs into technical projects, manage timelines, and drive successful delivery of technology solutions with measurable business value.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience managing technology projects, software initiatives, or complex operational programs.
Experience managing cross-functional projects involving business stakeholders and technical teams.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, project execution methodologies, and technology implementation.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable development plans.
Strong understanding of APIs, databases, automation workflows, and cloud-based systems.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with executives, engineers, and business teams.
Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, execution‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

Own the firm-wide technology project portfolio across all departments, including investment, capital markets, operations, legal, recruiting, and business development functions.
Manage the complete lifecycle of technology initiatives from initial request through implementation and adoption.
Establish project priorities, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria.
Maintain visibility into project status, risks, resource requirements, and delivery expectations.
Ensure technology initiatives align with broader firm objectives and operational goals.
Partner with department heads and senior leadership to identify operational challenges and technology opportunities.
Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, workflows, and implementation plans.
Define project objectives, user requirements, and expected business outcomes.
Evaluate proposed solutions based on scalability, efficiency, and long-term strategic impact.
Drive user adoption and ensure completed systems effectively support business workflows.
Coordinate with developers, engineers, automation specialists, and external technology resources to execute projects.
Review technical designs, system architecture, APIs, databases, and infrastructure decisions.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges.
Assist with prototyping, configuration, and AI-assisted development workflows when necessary.
Ensure engineering deliverables meet business requirements and operational expectations.
Serve as the primary point of coordination between business teams and technology resources.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project objectives and timelines.
Work with investment, finance, operations, and leadership teams to understand business priorities.
Apply fundamental finance and business principles when evaluating technology initiatives and resource allocation.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Support development of AI-powered systems, internal platforms, dashboards, and data infrastructure.
Evaluate technology solutions through an operational improvement and value creation lens.
Develop scalable processes that improve firm-wide productivity.
Provide leadership and direction to technology project resources.
Establish project management standards, documentation practices, and execution frameworks.
Support future growth of the Technology Department, including potential management of project managers, business analysts, developers, and automation engineers.
Act as a strategic technology leader supporting senior management initiatives.
