Job summary

Berkley Accident and Health (a Berkley Company) in the Hartford region is seeking a Vice President, Technology & Data Solutions to align technology with business strategy. You will lead technology platforms, data capabilities, and reporting across underwriting, sales, claims, and finance.

This role oversees vendor relationships, data architecture, and AI/automation initiatives, with a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote) across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in management, implementation and execution of various IT projects.
• Strong IT and data infrastructure capabilities.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other database management systems
• Able to work with the IT management staff, suppliers, developers and daily IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage relationships with the company's key technology vendors and strategic technology partners, while driving vendor accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and vendors to evaluate enhancements, integrations, and emerging technology solutions.
• Partner with business operations to identify and execute a portfolio of AI and automation related initiatives.
• Oversee database management, data quality, and information architecture.
• Own and enhance reporting capabilities that support underwriting, sales, claims, finance, and executive leadership.
• Facilitate prioritization of technology initiatives, balancing business impact, resource availability, and organizational goals.
• Interface with Berkley Technology Support (BTS) on corporate related technology initiatives.
• Ensure employees have reliable technology tools, equipment, and support to perform their roles effectively.
• Support technology onboarding and operational processes for approximately 225 employees.
• Maintain a high level of service and responsiveness for internal technology support functions.
