Job summary

Ascot Group, a leading specialty risk underwriting organization, seeks an Assistant Vice President, AI Program Lead to accelerate responsible AI adoption across U.S. operations.

You will coordinate with business, technology, and data teams, and external partners to deliver AI-enabled solutions across underwriting, claims, policy systems, operations, actuarial, and finance. This in-office role offers a hybrid schedule and reports to the Senior VP, Predictive Modeling & AI Strategy, embedding AI

Qualifications

• 10+ years of insurance experience with P&C and specialty insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or AI-related certification preferred.
• Experience supporting underwriting, claims, policy, actuarial, operations, or distribution functions.
• Proven success leading complex, cross-functional programs and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong business analysis, process improvement, change management, and execution skills.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, ML, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities with North American leaders.
• Translate priorities into an actionable AI roadmap.
• Lead AI initiatives from concept to deployment and adoption.
• Develop business cases, success metrics, and value realization plans.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering, and solution design.
• Coordinate sponsors and technical teams including Microsoft, Databricks, Palantir, Guidewire, and OpenAI.
• Ensure AI governance compliance with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and IT.
• Drive communications, AI literacy, and stakeholder engagement.
