Job summary

The Georgia Student Finance Commission is seeking a VP, Program Administration to lead the administration of scholarship, grant, and loan programs. You will direct Program Administration managers, set priorities, and ensure customer service excellence across the unit.

You will work closely with other agency divisions to implement new programs, oversee operations, and resolve complex issues to support state financial aid programs for Georgians.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible professional experience in student financial aid, student loan administration, banking, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated management experience leading professional staff and complex operational functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to interpret and implement laws, regulations, policies, and program requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction for the administration of the agency’s scholarship, grant, and loan programs.
  • Directs Program Administration managers and establishes operational priorities, goals, and performance expectations.
  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality customer service across Program Administration.
  • Ensures student aid programs are administered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Directs key program operations including applications, originations, disbursements, reconciliations, loan servicing, and related functions.
  • Coordinates implementation of new programs and legislative, regulatory, policy, and operational changes.
  • Develops and delivers training and technical assistance for participating schools and institutions.
