Job summary

Tapio is seeking a Vice President/Sr. Director of Strategic Business Development to drive growth in energy infrastructure partnerships. You will own relationships with hyperscalers, AI and digital infra players, data center developers and large energy users.

In this role, you will originate and close long-term commercial agreements, work with executive leadership, and build a scalable pipeline across markets with autonomy and high visibility.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development, commercial origination, or strategic partnerships in energy, infrastructure, or digital infrastructure.
• Proven success closing complex commercial transactions with large enterprise customers.
• Existing relationships with hyperscalers, data center operators, large energy users are highly desirable.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with ability to analyze project economics.
• Capable of leading complex opportunities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own relationships with hyperscalers, AI and digital infrastructure companies, data center developers, and other large energy users.
• Originate, structure, negotiate, and close long-term commercial agreements for energy infrastructure projects.
• Lead opportunities from initial engagement through internal investment and commercial execution.
• Collaborate with finance, engineering, development, legal and executives to deliver commercially attractive solutions.
• Maintain a high-quality pipeline and expand into new markets and customer segments.
