Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a strategic Vice President, Software Development Manager to lead multiple software engineering teams delivering Digital Experience, Cash & Liquidity, and Money Movement platforms. You will shape engineering strategy, modernize our platforms, and drive secure, reliable, client-focused solutions in partnership with Product, Architecture, and Security teams.

Qualifications

15+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise applications.
10+ years of leadership managing multiple software teams.
Experience leading cloud migration and platform modernization.
Experience with enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, API/integration platforms, SDLC, and DevSecOps.
Proven ability to lead large Agile delivery organizations with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead software engineering teams across multiple product and technology domains.
Establish and execute technology roadmaps, engineering strategies, and modernization initiatives.
Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, microservices, API-first development, event-driven systems, and modern engineering practices.
Champion AI-assisted software engineering capabilities to improve developer productivity and delivery.
Partner with Product, Architecture, Operations, Security, and Compliance to deliver strategic technology solutions.
Oversee delivery planning, budgeting, risk mitigation, and execution governance across Agile teams.
Build and maintain relationships with executive stakeholders and external vendors.
Ensure security, privacy, resiliency, and operational risk standards are met.
