Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a strategic Vice President, Software Development Manager to lead multiple software engineering teams delivering Digital Experience, Cash & Liquidity, and Money Movement platforms. Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise applications.
• 10+ years of leadership managing multiple software teams.

• Proven ability to lead large Agile delivery organizations with senior stakeholders.

The Vice President, Software Development Manager is responsible for leading multiple software engineering teams supporting Digital Experience, Cash & Liquidity, and Money Movement platforms. This role oversees engineering strategy, technology delivery, platform modernization, organizational leadership, and operational excellence. The position partners across business and technology functions to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that enhance advisor and investor experiences while supporting long-term enterprise objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop software engineering teams across multiple product and technology domains.
• Establish and execute technology roadmaps, engineering strategies, and modernization initiatives aligned with business priorities.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, microservices, API-first development, event-driven systems, and modern engineering practices.
• Champion AI-assisted software engineering capabilities to improve developer productivity, software quality, automation, and delivery effectiveness.

• Establish engineering standards, DevSecOps practices, quality frameworks, testing strategies, and operational excellence programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders, business partners, and external vendors.
• Ensure technology solutions meet security, compliance, privacy, resiliency, and operational risk standards.
