Job Overview:

We are looking for an inspired Software Engineering Manager with a background in development of cloud-native web applications leveraging technologies including .NET Core, C#, Angular, Node.js, and varying third-party and cloud-native databases. The candidate will be guiding high-velocity, multi-functional development teams focused on green-field technology platforms in the Practice configuration and compensation spaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily coaching and mentorship of direct reports regarding career development and engagement.

  • Oversee and participate in activities which drive the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.

  • Develop positive relationships with business partners to understand their needs, manage expectations, deliver value-add solutions, and support translation of problem statements into system requirements.

  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and show success through KPIs.

  • Full application life-cycle coordination and management of deliverables in alignment with best practices and organizational compliance goals.

  • Collaborate with other shared services teams (technical and non-technical) to ensure solutions and platforms are both functional and sustainable.

  • Use customer and business feedback to inform roadmaps and non-functional goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 12 years of professional software development experience in object-oriented programming languages, preferably .NET, Angular, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Cloud Containers and Serverless Components, CSS, Semantic HTML.

  • Minimum of 6+ years in people management and leadership capacity, managing and building teams.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS.

Preferences:

  • Minimum of 3 years of financial services/brokerage firm experience required.

  • Experience building responsive and reactive user interfaces.

  • Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Experience with DevOps processes.

Pay Range:

$155,288-$258,813/year. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
