Seven Executive has been retained by a leading and well-known HVAC distributor to identify a Data Center Sales & Business Development Manager

Data Center Sales & Business Development Manager | US (Remote with travel)

This is a high-impact sales role responsible for establishing the data center business by targeting colocation providers, consulting engineers, enterprise accounts and mechanical contractors.

The company are investing heavily in this space, have made significant steps in expanding their capacity, offering a flexible, direct sales model with strong market demand and significant earning potential for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the data center business in the U.S. market.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with consulting engineers, OEMs, end-users, and mechanical contractors to drive new business opportunities.
  • Identify, develop, and secure small to mid-sized data center projects, leveraging reduced lead times and strong market flexibility.
  • Drive pipeline development, targeting a $5M+ backlog within 12 months as a key performance indicator.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams, marketing, and leadership to align sales strategies with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and optimize go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand presence and generate leads.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track sales activity, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).

  • Deep understanding of mission-critical infrastructure and HVAC solutions for data centers.
  • Strong industry network and reputation.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to travel as required to engage with clients, attend industry events, and drive business development.
