Freelance Business Developer – Pharmaceutical QA Services

About the Role:

A mission-driven pharmaceutical services organization is seeking an experienced Freelance Business Developer to drive the growth of its Quality Assurance (QA) services across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. This opportunity is ideal for a self-starter who understands regulatory complexity and is passionate about delivering value through compliance and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential pharmaceutical and biotech clients seeking QA support (e.g., auditing, compliance, quality systems, QMS implementation, GxP consulting).
  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies and outreach campaigns.
  • Communicate the value of expert QA support in regulated environments.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing.
  • Work with internal technical teams to align client needs with tailored service offerings.
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline progress and business development metrics.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development or B2B sales within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Assurance frameworks and regulations (GMP, GCP, GDP, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative sales skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently to meet goals.
  • A network within pharma or QA leadership is a strong advantage.
