Job summary

SMI is seeking a VP, SNAP EBT to lead day-to-day performance of our SNAP EBT product, overseeing vendor governance, service delivery, and cardholder experience across live state programs. This is a product and operations ownership role, not a technical role.

You will manage vendor relationships, review SLAs, drive root-cause analysis, support state agency deployments, and ensure compliance with USDA/FNA, PCI DSS, and state requirements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SNAP EBT program operations with vendor management.
• Experience managing SNAP EBT vendor SLAs and partners.
• Deep knowledge of SNAP EBT mechanics, interfaces, and operations.
• Experience root cause analysis and operational issue resolution.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with technical teams.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vendor governance and service delivery for SNAP EBT.
• Manage state agency relationships and contract performance.
• Ensure USDA/FNA compliance and PCI DSS obligations.
• Support SNAP EBT proposal development and RFP responses.
• Drive improvements to cardholder experience through vendor oversight.
• Coordinate with Documentation to ensure process documentation.
