Job summary

Mathematica, Inc. is seeking Advisory Services Analysts with SNAP experience to support federal, state, and other clients on policy and program operations.

You will analyze SNAP and SNAP E&T policy, contribute to technical assistance, and draft clear deliverables for diverse audiences. Ideal candidates will bring two or more years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public policy, public administration, economics, nutrition, behavioral or social sciences, statistics, public health, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, including experience with SNAP and SNAP E&T policy, program administration, operations, technical assistance, research, data analysis, or program improvement.
• Working knowledge of SNAP and SNAP E&T policy and program operations as described above.
• Experience conducting policy or program analysis, research, technical assistance, program implementation, or program operations in nutrition assistance, human services, workforce development, or a related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop clear, concise materials for diverse audiences.
• Strong collaboration, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Some travel may be required, up to 10 percent.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams and take ownership of assigned tasks and workstreams.
• Analyze SNAP and SNAP E&T policies, program requirements, implementation approaches, and operational challenges and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and synthesize qualitative and/or quantitative information.
• Support technical assistance and advisory engagements with federal, state, and local agencies, workforce partners, service providers, and other organizations through activities such as needs assessment, research, development of tools and resources, facilitation, training, and responses to policy and programmatic questions.
• Draft clear, high-quality client deliverables, including memos, briefs, reports, case studies, presentations, technical documentation, proposals, and implementation tools.
• Communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues from multiple disciplines and, as experience grows, lead defined tasks or workstreams with guidance from project leadership.
