Job description

High-growth, US-based contract manufacturer of liquids, gel packs, and cosmetics is undergoing a large-scale expansion in capabilities and staff. This position is primarily responsible for developing new business partnerships and delivering volume, profit, and long-term objectives, contributing to our growth. Develops cohesive vision, business strategy, and action plans, with the ability to engage in ongoing contact with customers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer with a dotted line to the Division President.

LOCATION:

This position can be remote. Candidates must be capable of working independently from any location and be available for travel, primarily domestic, based on business needs and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties include:

  1. Generating new sales and business development opportunities with new customers.
  2. Building a pipeline of opportunities through network and referrals.
  3. Developing strategic multi-year growth strategies tailored to customers.
  4. Collaborating with leadership to develop and execute sales plans targeting manufacturing and packaging capabilities for various customer segments.
  5. Identifying prospective customers through various sources.
  6. Following up with potential and existing customers to qualify leads and sell products/services.
  7. Providing regular sales forecast data.
  8. Coordinating with teams to ensure effective execution of business plans.
  9. Leading sales and marketing activities, including trade shows and industry events.

REQUIREMENTS:

The following are the minimum requirements:

  • 3-10 years of sales leadership experience in a contract manufacturing environment, with a proven record of profitable growth.
  • Experience with contract manufacturing for dietary supplements and/or personal care products.
  • Experience selling to big box retailers, MLMs, and national brand marketers.
  • Strong understanding of personal care and nutrition markets and trends.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities based on customer and market strategies.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, sales, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Trust-building with customers.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Knowledge of accounting, ERP software, and Microsoft Office products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regular walking, sitting, using hands, talking, and hearing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work environments include office and warehouse settings.
