Job summary

Santander US is seeking a Senior Associate to lead the First Line of Defense Records Management Office for BSNY and SanCap. You will govern program strategy, inventories, retention schedules, and lifecycle management across entities, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Risk and Technology Risk to ensure defensible disposition and testing.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, policy adherence, and the ability to drive remediation without direct authority across multiple business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Records or Information Management, Business, Risk Management, Information Systems, Technology, Legal Studies, Compliance, Finance or related field.
• Master’s degree and relevant certifications (CRM/IGP/CISA/CRISC) are highly preferred.
• 9+ years of relevant experience in financial services, records and information management or risk/compliance domains.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the First Line of Defense Records Management Office for BSNY and SanCap, governing program strategy, administration and compliance.
• Maintain entity procedures, process maps, records-inventory standards, record-type elements, and controlled change practices.
• Oversee Records Management Coordinators, maintain roster, lead forums, and coordinate annual inventory reviews.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and the business to maintain the Records Retention Schedule and approve inventory changes.
• Oversee the records lifecycle from creation to defensible disposition and organizational transfers.
• Deliver training, monitor compliance, risk reporting, and remediation across governance forums.
• Escalate noncompliance through Issue Management and report program health to governance bodies.
