Job summary

Santander is seeking a senior records and risk governance professional to lead the First Line of Defense Records Management Office for BSNY and SanCap. You will drive program strategy, inventories, and controls while coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Technology Risk.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in records lifecycle management, retention schedules, and executive risk reporting, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Records, Information Management, Risk Management, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred or relevant certifications such as CRM/IGP/CISA/CRISC.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the First Line of Defense Records Management Office for BSNY and SanCap, governing program strategy and compliance.
• Maintain records inventories, retention schedules, and controlled-change practices.
• Oversee Records Management Coordinators and annual inventory reviews.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Technology Risk to improve controls and remediation.
• Provide training and awareness, and report program health to governance forums.
