Job summary

Blue Owl, a leading asset manager, seeks a strategic accounting Vice President for its Chicago-based non-traded REIT. You will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including NAV and disclosures, while coordinating with CFO/CAO and external auditors.

The role demands 7+ years in real estate accounting, deep GAAP knowledge (historical cost and fair value), and strong leadership to manage audits, fund administration, and ad-hoc reports.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of real estate accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills with emphasis on historical cost and fair value.
• SEC reporting experience including Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K.
• Ability to understand leases, debt agreements, and private placement memorandums.
• Must be deadline focused and able to handle multiple weekly, monthly and quarterly deadlines.
• Leverage AI as a tool to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and accurately report financial data, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting, valuation, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly net asset value and price per share in accordance with PPM documents.
• Serve as SME for financial reporting questions, including GAAP treatments.
• Coordinate and prepare financial statements and disclosures with the SEC on a historical cost basis.
• Coordinate with investment and asset management teams regarding property acquisitions/dispositions.
