Job summary

Blue Owl Capital seeks a seasoned Vice President of Real Estate Accounting in Chicago to lead financial reporting, NAV calculations, and GAAP analyses for real estate investments. You will coordinate audits, supervise third parties, and ensure accurate disclosures for SEC filings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of real estate accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills with emphasis on Historical Cost and Fair Value accounting for real estate.
• SEC reporting experience including Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other transactional offerings.
• Ability to understand leases, debt agreements, and private placement memorandums.
• Must be deadline focused, organized, and exhibit problem-solving skills.
• Leverage AI as a tool to drive efficiency.
• Ability to efficiently utilize Excel spreadsheets and other accounting software.
• Bachelor's degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and accurately report financial data, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly NAV and price per share in accordance with PPM documents.
• Serve as subject matter expert for financial reporting questions and GAAP treatments.
• Coordinate and prepare financial statements and disclosures on Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K with the SEC.
• Coordinate with investment and asset management teams regarding property acquisitions/dispositions and ongoing operations.
• Manage audit deadlines and coordinate with audit and tax teams.
• Oversee relationship with fund administrator and property managers; review incentive and management fee allocations.
