Job summary

Pennymac is seeking a VP, Product Owner to lead complex mortgage platform initiatives, driving AI/ML integration and end-to-end product ownership in an Agile setting. You will shape vision, strategy, and backlog while coordinating with data science, technology, and executive teams to deliver business value.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of Agile experience, strong AI/NLP product background, and strategic, cross-team collaboration skills in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applying Agile methodologies.
• Experience owning and delivering complex technology products in an Agile environment.
• Hands-on experience defining requirements for AI/ML/NLP powered products.
• Strong data management concepts and basic systems architecture understanding.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interfacing with exec leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for lending experience.
• Own end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and iteration.
• Leverage AI/ML capabilities to optimize mortgage workflows and underwriting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business units, tech, and data science.
• Translate business needs into clear goals, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain backlog and maximize value delivery within Agile frameworks.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and coordinate with Dev, Data, and UAT teams.
• Drive cross-department programs and define measurable outcomes.
• Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans for product launches.
• Create essential product documentation and communicate progress to leadership.
