Job summary

Pennymac is seeking a highly capable leader for Data & Analytics to drive executive reporting, data governance, and predictive modeling across the mortgage platform. You will oversee data-centric programs, manage cross-functional initiatives, and partner with IT and finance to improve decision making.

The ideal candidate will bring deep data mining skills, strong communication, and a proven track record in fast-paced environments, with finance/banking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven SAS or SQL data mining skills and advanced skills using spreadsheet and presentation tools.
• Strong understanding of the key financial and business drivers within mortgage banking.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
• Proven ability and experience to query / analyze large data sets and assess outcomes.
• Self-directed and skilled at operating autonomously to achieve results in a fast-paced business environment.
• Strong leadership, verbal, and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement data strategies to predict, improve and measure fundamental risks to the division/operation.
• Manage Executive Reporting and Analytics with monthly management reviews and robust daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
• Develop operational capacity and forecast modeling for volumes and staffing.
• Oversee Data Mart storage and transformation to aid decision-making and risk assessment.
• Lead the Data Governance framework to ensure data quality and compliance across the enterprise.
• Support key corporate initiatives and financial processes, coordinating with IT and business partners.
