Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. is seeking a skilled credit professional to deliver financial, credit, and trend analysis for middle-market clients. The role requires independent evaluation of loan requests, financial modeling, and risk assessment to support credit decisions.

The candidate will work with Relationship Managers, ensure regulatory compliance, and may travel for on-site client calls as needed. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• Proficient in Financial Accounting and credit analysis.
• Strong understanding of lending, cash flow and collateral analysis.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Reg Z, BSA, HMDA, etc.).
• Experience with financial statement analysis and credit risk assessments.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates and structures lower complexity credit requests (cash flow, asset-based, term loans, CRE).
• Performs independent credit analysis and risk assessment of requests.
• Prepares comprehensive credit packages and presentations for review by Credit Administration.
• Develops detailed financial models to forecast cash flows and debt service under scenarios.
• Analyzes EBITDA, leverage ratios, FCF, and working capital cycles.
• Reviews loan documents and supports loan documentation with RM and counsel.
• Monitors covenant compliance and monitors risk with the Loan Administration team.
• Travels for on-site client calls to build and support bank-client relationships.
