You will monitor covenants, collateral, and deterioration, structuring and evaluating requests while determining borrower creditworthiness for decisions. The role emphasizes relationship management with borrowers, reviewing loan documents, and supporting risk reviews and portfolio assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field, or 5+ years lending/portfolio experience.
• Strong knowledge of real estate lending with construction/bridge experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of commercial lending fundamentals and risk management.
• Ability to interpret complex loan documents and collateral requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with analytical writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary credit contact for borrowers and maintain ongoing relationships.
• Review loan agreements, guarantees, and credit documentation.
• Approve loan advances with Loan Servicing, and monitor loan statements.
• Track performance vs timing on project loans and assess reserve adequacy.
• Collect financial reporting and monitor trends and covenants.
• Prepare quarterly risk reviews and portfolio assessments.
• Prepare credit memoranda with recommended actions for borrowers.
• Provide guidance and oversee portfolio management and team development.
