Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. is seeking a seasoned credit professional to manage financial, credit, and trend analysis for middle market clients.

The role involves covenant monitoring, collateral oversight, and independent credit decisions to support loan structuring and risk management. You will collaborate with Credit Administration and Loan Servicing, review agreements, and provide ongoing guidance while upholding regulatory compliance and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of lending or portfolio management experience.
• Strong knowledge of real estate lending, especially construction/bridge.
• Understanding of cash flow analysis, financial analysis, and loan structuring.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary credit point of contact for borrowers.
• Review loan agreements and other credit documentation.
• Review, approve, and process loan advance requests with the Loan Servicing team.
• Review and approve monthly loan statements and related reporting.
• Monitor performance versus expected timing on project loans to assess interest reserve adequacy.
• Collect periodic financial reporting and monitor financial and operational trends.
• Analyze ongoing compliance with reporting and performance covenants and recommend actions.
• Prepare quarterly risk reviews and portfolio assessments.
• Evaluate borrower requests (amendments, waivers, term extensions) and prepare summary credit memoranda.
• Manage analysis, reporting, and credit recommendations for classified (non-workout) loans.
