Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New Jersey is seeking a Vice President Engineer to lead identity platform services, APIs, and reliability across production environments. You will design, build, and operate critical identity solutions with SRE practices, mentoring engineers and guiding incident response.

You will own resiliency design reviews, drive AI-assisted reliability initiatives, and collaborate with security and platform teams to keep identity and access platforms safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of reliability, scalability, security and enterprise architecture experience.
• Production services and APIs design with maintainable code in Python/Java/Go.
• Automation and IaC experience, esp. Terraform.
• Experience using AI within SRE workflows to improve reliability.
• Observability expertise with SLOs/telemetry (CloudWatch/Prometheus/Grafana).
• CI/CD practices and tooling proficiency.
• Networking troubleshooting experience.
• Leadership in AI-assisted development tools and security-conscious practices.
• Understanding of responsible AI and secure engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate identity platform services and APIs across the portfolio from architecture to production.
• Improve reliability and stability using data-driven analytics and service-level metrics.
• Define service level indicators and objectives with stakeholders.
• Maintain CI/CD and IaC tooling for scalable, resilient deployments across regions.
• Lead major incidents and act as technical lead for applications.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI-assisted reliability workflows across SDLC.
