Job summary

YMCA of Greenwich is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Philanthropy to lead the organization’s philanthropic strategy, focusing on major gifts, planned giving, and capital priorities. You will report to the CEO and serve on the executive team, strengthening donor relations and building readiness for future campaigns.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
Minimum 7 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with major gifts.
Demonstrated track record of closing five- and six-figure gifts.
Capital campaign experience strongly preferred; planned giving experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a comprehensive major gifts strategy to grow support from individuals, families, foundations and corporations.
Maintain a focused portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
Personally cultivate, solicit and steward significant five- and six-figure gifts and guide leaders with strategy and follow-through.
Create strategies to advance the YMCA's highest-priority donor relationships and moves-management practices.
Lead planned and legacy giving initiatives and integrate with donor stewardship programs.
