Job summary

Scholars of Finance is seeking a Vice President of Philanthropy to own individual giving and engagement, shaping strategy, building a scalable fundraising engine, and leading a small team. The role reports to the CEO and sits on the Executive Team, with a starting salary of $150K–$170K and a plan to grow the donor portfolio and revenue substantially.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit fundraising, major gifts, or philanthropy.
• 3+ years building, managing, and developing high-performing teams across multiple workstreams.
• Evidence of sourcing, closing, and stewarding major gifts and ownership of a significant relationship portfolio.
• Proven experience building systems, teams, processes, and stewarding hundreds of relationships of various types.
• Ownership and execution in fast-moving, deadline-driven environments with structured playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of the executive team and steer fundraising and engagement to fulfill the mission.
• Set vision, goals, and operating cadence for individual fundraising and volunteer engagement.
• Own the pipeline, forecast, and path to revenue; manage fundraising and engagement day to day.
