Job summary

YMCA of Greenwich is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Youth Development to provide executive leadership for one of the organization’s largest impact areas. The role reports to the CEO and shapes strategy for youth development, early learning, camps, and teen leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in youth development, education, program development or related field.
• Proven ability to coach and develop director-level staff and build high-performing teams.
• Deep knowledge of youth development best practices, PD frameworks, and YMCA standards.
• Experience with child care licensing and/or day camp operations preferred.
• CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic vision for the YMCA's full youth development portfolio and translate it into measurable results.
• Establish a unified framework for program design, evaluation, access, quality, and age-appropriate progression.
• Define programmatic excellence reflecting national standards and local mission values.
• Set participant pathways across the youth development continuum and drive accountability with clear metrics.
• Lead financial performance of the portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Advise the CEO on youth development strategy and collaborate with executive teams.
