Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle seeks a Director of Philanthropy - Community Giving to define philanthropic strategy and direct implementation across branches and centers. You will acquire, cultivate, solicit, and steward community gifts up to $10,000, driving annual giving, capital opportunities, and a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of demonstrated success in raising funds from institutional and individual donors and through grant writing.
• Strong relationship building, communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule with executives, volunteers and events.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with a large portfolio of donors capable of gifts up to $10,000 annually.
• Help meet annual fundraising targets and capital fundraising objectives.
• Collaborate with Branch Executives, Board Members, volunteers and other leaders to cultivate donors.
• Serve as fundraising lead for assigned events and campaigns.
• Renew and rebuild relationships with dormant donors as assigned.
• Develop cultivation strategies and solicit major prospects for annual, capital, and planned giving.
