Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. seeks a Vice President to provide strategic leadership for perioperative and procedural services across TJUH sites, ambulatory centers, and related facilities.

The role will establish an integrated operating model to maximize capacity and align patients, procedures, physicians, equipment, staffing, and facilities with the best location. The VP will drive enterprise strategies for growth, optimize operating room utilization, strengthen physician

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Minimum of five years managerial experience in healthcare administration, including management skills, medical staff relations, finances, and operations.
• Prior hospital operations executive leadership experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated operating model across sites to maximize capacity and align patients, procedures, physicians, equipment, staffing, and facilities.
• Lead an enterprise operating model with potential matrixed oversight for PeriOp and Procedural leaders at multiple locations.
• Identify opportunities to expand surgical/procedural capacity and improve access across the enterprise.
• Optimize OR and Procedural room utilization, scheduling, turnover, throughput, and prime-time capacity.
• Establish partnerships with surgical chairs and governance to align expectations on scheduling and readiness.
• Measure demand vs. capacity across sites, specialties, physicians, rooms, equipment, and workforce.
• Collaborate with Quality, Infection Prevention, Risk, Medical Staff, and Nursing to improve outcomes.
• Assess current and future workforce requirements based on procedural demand, hours, productivity, and growth.
