Basis Theory Inc. is seeking a VP of Partnerships in the United States to own and grow the payments ecosystem.

You will lead relationships with networks, processors, acquirers, and technology providers and work across product, payments, engineering, sales, and customer success to translate opportunities into execution. Qualifications

• Significant experience in payments with understanding of merchants, networks, processors, acquirers, platforms, and providers.
• Experience building and owning complex strategic partnerships within payments/fintech, negotiating and executing at executive levels.
• Ability to operate at multiple levels from long-term strategy to execution with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own Basis Theory's partnership strategy and portfolio, identifying where to invest and where to scale back.
• Build, own, and grow strategic relationships across the payments ecosystem, serving as the primary BT leader for key partners.
• Develop relationships at multiple levels within partner organizations, from executives to operational teams.
• Turn relationships into outcomes through joint solutions, product capabilities, integrations, and commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product, Payments, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to align customer needs with partner capabilities.
• Provide informed input on product and ecosystem strategy and influence roadmaps.
• Identify commercial opportunities beyond lead generation including revenue, distribution, and market influence.
• Travel regularly for partner meetings and strategic engagements.
