Job summary

Social Finance seeks a Vice President of Partnerships & Philanthropy to lead external fundraising and strategy across California, Texas, and select markets. The role reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and drives engagement with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and advisors to mobilize capital for social programs.

Based in San Francisco or Austin, the VP will travel regularly (25–30%) and partner with senior leaders to advance impact-first investing and funded programs

Qualifications

• 15+ years of fundraising experience across complex mission-driven orgs.
• Existing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and advisors.
• Ability to operate independently in fast-moving environments with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent ability to translate complex investment structures into compelling donor narratives.

Responsibilities

• Raise $20M+ annually in grants and investments across priorities.
• Cultivate UHNW individuals, family offices, and foundations; build a robust pipeline.
• Develop relationships with advisor ecosystems to shape giving patterns.
• Represent Social Finance across fundraising priorities and partner with senior leadership.
