Job summary

United Way Bay Area (UWBA) seeks a dynamic Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & Development to lead the organization’s fundraising strategy, expanding individual, corporate, and foundation support while aligning priorities with the CEO. This leader will grow UWBA’s sustainable revenue pipeline and oversee corporate partnerships and donor storytelling with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

7+ years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit development and fundraising leadership.
Strong track record in individual giving, with success in planned giving strategy.
Experience securing six-figure gifts across individual, corporate, and foundation philanthropy.
Experience building and developing fundraising teams.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel throughout UWBA's service area.

Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO to develop and execute UWBA's fundraising strategy.
Shape UWBA's case for investment across Youth Opportunity, Economic Growth, and Community Resiliency.
Lead donor relationships, including Tocqueville Society and principal gifts.
Collaborate with marketing and impact teams to translate outcomes into donor narratives.
Oversee Corporate Partnerships and grow sponsorship revenue.
Direct the fundraising cycle from prospecting to gift acknowledgment.
Maintain data integrity in the Salesforce CRM.
