San Francisco SPCA in the Bay Area seeks a Senior Director, Emerging Philanthropy to lead major gifts strategy and donor engagement. You will manage a portfolio of 60–80 principal gift prospects and collaborate with senior leaders to advance the Access for All campaign.

This role emphasizes sophisticated gift structures, family offices, DAFs, CRTs, and donor-advised funds, with a focus on high‑net‑worth philanthropy and providing thoughtful stewardship.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive fundraising experience, with six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Substantive knowledge of complex and non-cash gift vehicles.
• Experience engaging with high-net-worth individuals and family offices.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of 60–80 principal gift prospects and donors.
• Design donor-centered cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align with strategic priorities.
• Leverage DAFs, CRTs, CLTs, and other complex gift structures.
• Engage family offices and philanthropic advisors to expand relationships.
