Job summary

Social Finance, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Partnerships & Philanthropy, to lead external fundraising from San Francisco or Austin.

Build relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and advisors, driving a strategic fundraising program in a mission-driven nonprofit. Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, you’ll cultivate a robust pipeline, manage key stakeholders, and travel 25–30% of the time to engage funders in key markets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior external fundraiser for Social Finance with clear accountability for raising $20M+ annually in grants and investments across all priorities.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate new UHNW individuals, family offices and foundations, building a strong donor pipeline.
• Develop and steward relationships across advisor and intermediary ecosystems that shape UHNW giving.
• Represent Social Finance across fundraising priorities, translating complex investment structures into compelling donor narratives.
• Partner with the CPO, CEO, and President & COO on engagement strategies and external meetings.
• Maintain a robust schedule of daily external meetings and travel 25–30% of the time.
