A real-assets investor backed by long-term institutional capital is hiring its first dedicated data center real estate originator.
You'll be the firm's primary point of contact for data center business nationwide, bringing capital to developers and operators who need it but often don't know it exists. Compensation is driven by a deal-based commission.
What You'll Own
- Originate the purchase of real estate beneath data center developments.
- Build direct relationships with developers and mid-market operators, and keep a pipeline of dozens of live leads moving at once
- Source on- and off-market opportunities, and manage broker relationships alongside direct outreach
- Act as the firm's in-house expert on data centers: power, utilities, market saturation, tenant demand. Use that judgement to screen inbound deals early and say plainly when one doesn't stack up
- Present opportunities to the investment committee and board, working with underwriting, legal and closing to take deals from first call to funding
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, build a national presence, and help shape long-term (including international) expansion
Who Thrives Here
- You've worked the real estate side of data centers at a developer, operator or data-center-focused investor, and you know what makes a site actually work.
- Your relationships are your own. You can pick up the phone to people in the developer and operator community who already trust you, and you're comfortable cold-calling landowners.
- You're motivated by earning upside through results.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in data center real estate, site acquisition, development, or data-center-focused real assets / infrastructure investing
- Strong working knowledge of ground leases, option agreements, easements, title and escrow, and data center power and development dynamics
- Hands-on experience on data center real estate transactions, including working with brokers
- Moderate financial modelling ability, and strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Self-directed and organised, able to work remotely with travel as needed
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Salesforce and Excel proficiency a plus
