Job summary

Lume Search Partners is seeking a VP of Operations for an ABA-focused RCM services business based in Lakewood, NJ, on-site. You will own the full revenue cycle management function and lead a team of five billing specialists, taking over day-to-day operations from the CEO to enable strategic growth.

You will drive process improvements, automate workflows, and build offshore teams in India and Colombia to scale capacity while ensuring compliance with state Medicaid and payer guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage day-to-day operations of the RCM business supporting ABA providers.
• Directly oversee and develop a team of five billing specialists.
• Manage state-specific ABA billing for four primary codes.
• Implement process improvements to speed, accuracy, and cash flow.
• Identify and drive automation opportunities across the revenue cycle.
• Build and manage offshore teams in India and Colombia to support scaling.
• Create reporting, KPIs, and dashboards for executives.
• Partner with the CEO to remove bottlenecks and enable growth.
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid rules and ABA billing guidelines.

• Our client is an ABA-focused RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) services business supporting therapy providers with state-specific billing operations. The company is growing quickly, and the CEO is seeking a strong operational leader to take over day-to-day management and streamline all billing and back-office processes.

Role Overview

• The VP of Operations will oversee the full revenue cycle management function and lead a team of five billing staff. This leader will take over operational responsibility from the CEO—who is currently bogged down in daily workflows—allowing him to focus on growth and new business initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep RCM experience within ABA therapy billing, strong managerial skills, and an ability to scale processes through automation and global workforce integration (India and Colombia).

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage all day-to-day operations of the RCM business supporting ABA providers.
• Directly oversee, mentor, and develop a team of five billing specialists.
• Manage state-specific billing for ABA services, including four primary billing codes.
• Implement process improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and cash flow.
• Identify and drive automation opportunities across the revenue cycle.
• Build and manage teams offshore (India, Colombia) to support scaling needs.
• Create reporting, KPIs, and operational dashboards to support executive decision-making.
• Partner closely with the CEO to remove operational bottlenecks and enable the CEO’s focus on new business development.
• Ensure compliance with state Medicaid rules, payer requirements, and ABA billing guidelines.
