Job summary

LandGate, a Wood Mackenzie business, seeks a VP, Head of Transmission Products to lead development of transmission tools (ATC and Offtake) and provide technical leadership for our sales and client success teams in the US.

You will build and mentor a team across energy, infrastructure, and data domains, translate power-flow workflows into scalable features, integrate datasets, and guide interconnection studies for utilities, developers, and investors.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of high voltage electrical system experience, preferably with a utility, system operator or independent power producer.
Minimum of 2 years experience managing the transmission interconnection process for power plants (wind, solar, or thermal).
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Systems preferred; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the continued development of transmission product capabilities and integrations.
Supervise and architect transmission product development across cross-functional teams.
Support sales and client success with technical expertise on grid interconnection and injection/offtake studies.
Develop training materials and present technical content to customers and internal teams.
Mentor junior staff and collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing.
