Job summary

Consumer Cellular, Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Site Reliability Engineering to lead strategy, governance, and operational execution for reliability across Technology.

The role ensures availability, performance, and recoverability of critical systems for customers and operations, with a focus on automation and time-to-restore metrics. You will reside within 50 miles of our Scottsdale, AZ corporate HQ with hybrid or onsite work options, collaborating with CIO, product, and security leaders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 15+ years of leadership in site reliability, production or platform engineering, cloud/infra operations.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage uptime, performance, and recovery outcomes.
• Strong communication to executive audiences and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise site reliability engineering vision, strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
• Lead SRE, production, platform, observability, incident management, and related teams.
• Partner with CIO and leadership to align reliability investments with business outcomes.
• Establish governance for SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, change controls, and postmortems.
• Drive automation, self-healing systems, IaC, and capacity planning.
• Provide leadership for observability strategy, telemetry, and time-to-detect metrics.
• Own availability, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and executive communication during incidents.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and audit requirements.
