Job summary

Stord is seeking an experienced security leader to define and govern the global security program for our SaaS and platform offerings. You will set the strategy, align with NIST CSF, and drive audits, certifications, and AI governance across models and Stord Labs.

You will stand up 24/7 detection and response, lead security operations and engineering, own incident response, and partner with product and engineering on secure-by-default design for Logistics, Brands, and Commerce.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in security, including 5+ leading a security function at a SaaS or platform company.
• Depth in cloud-native security at scale — AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD, API security.
• Experience owning M&A security diligence and integration.
• Track record building a security program against NIST CSF, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
• Experience standing up 24/7 detection and response, in-house or via MDR.
• Executive and Board communication chops; ability to explain risk and controls to diverse audiences.
• Judgment on where to spend: controls, conversations, or not now.

Responsibilities

• Set security strategy and governance with a multi-year roadmap.
• Lead 24/7 detection and response, and incident management programs.
• Oversee security operations, engineering, and audits across the org.
• Drive M&A security diligence and post-close integration playbooks.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on secure-by-default design.
• Build and grow a security organization spanning GRC, engineering, and cloud security.
