Job summary

Barrington James is supporting a fast growing, multi-site 503A compounding pharmacy in the greater Houston area that is seeking a hands-on Compounding Pharmacist for day hours. This is a high-volume mail-order operation with room to grow as sites expand.

You will compound at volume, supervise technicians, maintain batch records and documentation, and ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards while driving process discipline and growth.

Qualifications

• Active Texas pharmacist license; additional states a plus.
• At least 5 years of licensed practice.
• Compounding experience is required.
• Hands-on experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting.
• Experience overseeing pharmacy technicians.
• Strong documentation and process discipline.
• Committed, long-term mindset.

Responsibilities

• Compound prescriptions accurately and at volume on day hours.
• Oversee and direct technicians on the compounding floor.
• Maintain documentation, batch records and process discipline.
• Apply USP <795>, USP <797> and USP <800> standards in daily practice.
• Keep the workflow moving from order entry through final verification and shipping.
• Resolve formulation and prescriber queries.
• Support the evening verification pharmacist and cross-site consistency.
