The Avery Point Group, Inc - Executive Search Catalysts for Change™ is seeking a Vice President of Operations for a two-site, high‑mix, make‑to‑order manufacturing environment in the Memphis metropolitan area. The role will own safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost while driving long‑term improvements in planning and manufacturing processes.

You will lead cross‑functional teams with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales to align orders with capability and ensure build‑ready

Qualifications

• 15+ years of manufacturing leadership with rising responsibility.
• Experience in high‑mix, make‑to‑order environments.
• Leadership across multiple sites or complex single facility.
• Demonstrated improvement in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Experience implementing Lean daily management and leader standard work.
• Understanding of capacity planning, scheduling, and ERP/MRP.
• Experience with engineered products, drawings, BOMs, and routings.
• Experience connecting operations to labor and material costs.
• Evidence of strengthening plant management and frontline supervision.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing performance across two sites (safety, quality, delivery, cost).
• Lead Lean daily management and develop leader standard work.
• Improve production planning, capacity, and flow in high‑mix, make‑to‑order operations.
• Address bottlenecks in fabrication, welding, finishing, and assembly to improve throughput.
• Coordinate engineering, quality, and supply chain to meet customer commitments.
• Develop leadership capability and a reliable leadership bench.
• Partner with engineering to ensure build-ready drawings and accurate BOMs.
• Drive cost, margin, and working capital improvements.
