Job summary

Avery Dennison in Lowell, Indiana seeks a Plant Manager to lead a high-complexity manufacturing facility with full operational and cultural ownership.

You will drive throughput, champion safety, and implement Lean Sigma and ISO 9000 quality standards across shifts, while developing local talent and aligning site goals with the broader business strategy. This is a demanding role requiring strategic planning, financial discipline, and a proven track record in managing capital projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive operational leadership experience running fast-paced manufacturing plants.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or technical equivalent) with practical PSM knowledge and risk mitigation.
• Demonstrated mastery of Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) or equivalent Lean Manufacturing systems with kaizen experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality systems and Voice of Customer integration.
• Proven track record of floor-first servant leadership and change management.

Responsibilities

• Safety-first culture across the shop floor and EHS compliance.
• Scale plant throughput and own P&L for custom graphics materials.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Sigma and Six Sigma principles.
• Enforce ISO 9000 quality standards and rapid turnaround execution.
• Formulate site strategy, budgets, and CapEx planning.
• Develop line-level change-agent leadership and talent development paths.
• Deliver site OGSM milestones and achieve throughput and cost targets.
