Job summary

Fontaine Modification is seeking a hands-on, strategic Vice President of Operations to lead operational performance across nine sites. The executive will oversee production, procurement, continuous improvement, quality, warranty, and safety, building scalable discipline and ensuring safe, high-quality, on-time, cost-competitive modified vehicles.

Qualifications

• 15+ years manufacturing ops leadership with 5–7 years in a senior role.
• Experience across multiple facilities and consistent operating standards.
• Direct vehicle or specialty vehicle manufacturing experience.
• Proven success in production, procurement, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Experience implementing lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and related methods.
• Strong procurement, supplier management, logistics, and inventory knowledge.
• Financial acumen with budgets, forecasting, cost control, and KPIs.
• Experience evaluating ERP and automation solutions.
• Executive presence with strong communication and change-management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute operating strategy for nine sites with growth alignment.
• Lead capacity planning, scheduling, labor deployment, and on‑time delivery.
• Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate agreements, and optimize inventory.
• Scale an operating system using lean, 80/20, Kaizen and standard work.
• Strengthen quality systems, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Establish a strong safety culture across sites.
• Mentor and build a high-performing operations team.
• Own budgets, forecasts, cost performance, and KPI reporting.
• Evaluate technology and automation to boost productivity.
• Serve on the senior leadership team and report to the President.
