Job summary

Carole Robertson Center for Learning in Chicago seeks a Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership for facilities, IT, procurement, risk management and financial oversight. Reporting to the CFO, the VP-Ops will oversee capital projects and staff development to ensure compliance with funder contracts and internal policies.

This role requires travel between program sites and a background check (as per policy).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; business-related coursework preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of senior administrative leadership experience in nonprofit settings.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, facilities and infrastructure, and procurement principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Operations team, including facilities management and oversight of construction projects.
• Support CFO in overseeing insurance providers/brokers, renewals, and related bids.
• Oversee outsourced IT management to ensure data security and reliable systems.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve productivity, and reduce costs across administrative functions.
• Develop procurement strategies and manage vendor relationships to optimize value.
• Oversee capital assets projects portfolio, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk.
